Our client has been a reliable partner to Western Canadian Grocery store owners for more than 100 years. They pride themselves in helping customers save money on restaurant equipment and refurbished equipment. They are looking for an Outside Sales Rep to take over an existing, very successful territory in BC.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing positive relationships with potential and existing customers to achieve sales with good profit margins.
  • Provide information about warranties, equipment specifications, care and maintenance, delivery, and finance options.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities through networking, referrals, marketing programs, and community involvement.
  • Meet annual sales goals and objectives, participating in sales meetings, and staying updated on market conditions and sales techniques are crucial to success.
  • Customer service is a priority, and you must strive to exceed customer expectations by providing prompt follow-up and resolution to queries and issues.
  • Efficient administration is essential, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and administrative responsibilities, such as tracking quotations and sales orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, collect deposits and balance owing amounts, and monitor accounts receivable.
  • Teamwork is integral to the role, supporting fellow team members and maintaining good relationships with all company functional groups and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of related sales experience, preferably in selling highly specialized equipment
  • Able to take measurements, conversions, square footage, and quotes.
  • Logical thinker, very detail-oriented
  • Motivated and driven.
  • Post-secondary education in sales and marketing is a plus.
  • Aptitude to grasp what you are selling.
  • Able to look at floor plans.
