Position Overview

This key position is responsible for continued development of the Paladin Security Group operations program, and associated processes. The Operations Team Lead shall also monitor the profitability of our contracted services. Equally, the Operations Team Lead is responsible for the input, upkeep and maintenance of the database (TEAM) used to track all Paladin resources resulting in payroll and billing. The Operations Team Lead will provide leadership to operations supervisors and ensure departmental efficiencies are kept in check and met.

Essential Job Functions

Oversee the scheduling process to ensure the elimination of payroll and scheduling errors

Oversee data entry to ensure the accuracy of the database

Monitor all incident reports and keep the database updated with personnel information as required

Liaise with Client Service Manager’s (CSM) to ensure the Operations Department has the most recent information available to ensure efficient deployment of staff

Gather, correlate and oversee all aspects of payroll data and communicate the data with the payroll administrator at Corporate Head Office

Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies

Track overtime on a pay period basis and report the results to senior management

Monitor overtime rates in all assigned branches and report results to Senior Management

Oversee and direct the efforts of the scheduling department to ensure overtime is kept to a minimum in the assigned branches

Communicates information to Clients and Security Staff using telecommunications systems and equipment

Answers calls received by Hospital Staff, Security Staff and General Public and dispatches Security Staff accordingly

Monitors CCTV and alarm systems and responds in accordance with established emergency procedures

Interacts with Police, the Fire Department, and EMS

Hospital wide emergency dispatching and overhead announcements

Updates and maintains the Security Incident database

Update and maintains Security Staff schedules as changes arise during shift as well as filling shifts as vacancies arise

Responsible for auditing the everyday operational duties i.e. extra coverages, sign in sheets, shift changes, incoming faxes etc.

Successful candidate will work in conjunction with scheduling coordinator and operational center manager

Qualifications:
Understanding or experience of the security industry

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Demonstrated leadership in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives

Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

Strong understanding of customer service best practices

Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operational management in implementing best practices

Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

Ability to think creatively and develop solutions to address operational challenges

An understanding of best practices in organizational change management

Completed a minimum of 3 months as an Operations Schedule/Dispatcher or equivalent WinTeam experience

Must provide proof of double vaccination
