We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee and support the operations team with functions including engineering & design, project detailing, procurement, shipping & handling, construction and service. Their primary role is to manage the day-to-day operations, optimize productivity and ensure that the organization meets its operational goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in people management, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Resource Allocation and Management:allocates resources, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, to various operational activities. Ensures that resources are utilized effectively, monitor resource availability, and adjusts as necessary to meet operational demands. Manages all aspects of the Project Workbench and Project Management Software.

2. Budgeting and Cost Management:contributes to budget planning and cost management. Collaborates with finance and sales to develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction or optimization without compromising quality.

3. Process and Workflow Management:responsible for ensuring that the established policies, procedures, workflows and filing systems are being utilized being used effectively.

4. Quality Assurance and Control:implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards and ensure that products or services meet customer expectations. Establish quality control processes, conduct inspections, and monitor performance metrics to identify and address any quality issues.

5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:track and evaluate project performance. Analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights to management on areas of improvement, achievements, and challenges. Use this information to drive project profitability.

6. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:oversee inventory levels, procurement, and supply chain activities. Collaborate with suppliers, monitor inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and optimize the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods or services.

7. Risk Management:identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Assess operational vulnerabilities, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

8. Health and Safety Compliance: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate policies and procedures. Conduct safety inspections, coordinate emergency procedures, and promote a culture of workplace wellness.

9. Team Leadership and Development:supervise and lead operational teams. Recruit, train, and manage personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and employee development. Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

10. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and enhance efficiency. Encourage innovation, evaluate new technologies or methodologies, and implement best practices to stay competitive and adapt to changing market conditions.
