Operations Manager

Description:

Aston Carter’s client in Chilliwack is seeking a Operations Manager to join their team on a contract to hire basis. Working closely with the General Manager, as well as other executive management team members, the Ops Manager coordinates all project execution activities through the direct management of Supply Chain, Production, and PMO Functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing the daily project execution operations and improving operating procedures for optimal efficiency and reports the status of operations to the General Manager on a weekly basis or as required.
• Develop and execute the purchasing strategy to meet demand.
• Assessing and enhancing the efficiency of internal and external operational processes.
• Leading and motivating staff to achieve processes and organizational objectives.
• Participate and support the recruitment process to attract the best candidates and reduce employee turnover.
• Mentoring and inspiring employees to key into the vision of management.
• Establishing policies that improve and promote company vision and culture in his / her functional areas.
• Evaluating company project execution performance and recommend strategies to improve results.
• Coordinating PMO team in the client relationship management along all project execution life cycle, for progress status reporting, testing and FAT execution, commissioning and invoicing including changes (variants) management.
• Collaborating with management and other stakeholders to execute other business-expanding strategies.
• Preparing and presenting weekly Job Execution Team meetings that involve Management.
• Supporting the group in the preparation of Purchasing Team Meetings and Manufacturing Team Meetings that involve Management.
• Completing other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Management.
• Coordinating Supply Chain Function (Planning, Procurement and Shipping).
