Outside Plant Engineering (OPE) has an exciting opportunity for you if you are striving to work in a motivating, dynamic environment as an Outside Plant Engineering Specialist. We are looking for responsible and passionate team members who will administer, organize, and work toward coordinating multiple Outside Plant Engineering process and design deliverables. What you will be doing:
  • Maintain OPE budgets, risks, conflicts, delivery, communication, schedules, metrics
  • Prioritize OPE design deliverables and resources
  • Analyze OPE cost analysis per program by region
  • Update monthly OPE Design forecasts (Financial, Material, Recoveries)
  • Track and control costs associated to OPE Design deliverables
  • Provide consolidated status updates on all current and outstanding OPE deliverables
  • Manage OPE 3rd party financial recoveries
  • Coordinate and chair OPE status update meetings
  • Escalate issues impacting OPE Design deliverables – time, cost or quality
  • Liaise with Design Firms as required for forecasts and schedules
  • Ensure Rogers Policies and Engineering standards followed by internal and contracted resources
  • Focus on Continuous improvement of OPE process/procedures to help meet OPE deliverables

What you have:
  • College Diploma or Post-Secondary Education
  • Related experience with Cable Outside Plant Engineering (5-10 years)
  • Commitment to quality performance and teamwork across multiple disciplines
  • Detail oriented with an aptitude for tracking progress across many disciplines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
