Lacoste Garden Centre is looking for a new leader on the front line of our store. We need an enthusiastic professional that loves working in a team to help ensure a safe, fun and operationally efficient shopping experience for our valued customers. Someone who can lead our front-line cashiers and associates with passion, leadership, and integrity. A love of the outdoors and of course plants doesn’t hurt!

Requirements and Qualifications

· Minimum of two years experience in retail sales or horticulture

· Administrative experience not required but an asset

· 2+ years of retail experience in a leadership capacity (e.g. management, shift leader, etc.)

· Ability to effectively train and motivate sales associates

· Strong Organizational skills to manage high volume shipments

· Knowledge of trees and shrubs an asset

Job Summary

The nursery supervisor supports that nursery manager by conducting day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth operations in a high-volume environment. They will assist in hiring/training sales associates to work on sales floor and in receiving. They will need to help facilitate an amazing shopping experience for our customers through a myriad of responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Administrative Capabilities to assist with the receiving, building, pricing, and merchandising of various soft and hard goods skus.

· Coordinating operations and ensure schedules and objectives are met

· Supervising and motivating staff

· Communicating with clients and evaluating their needs and specifications

· Secure adherence to company’s policies and guidelines

· Assist nursery manager in buying of product

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $14.50-$18.50 per hour

• Winnipeg, MB R2N 4A6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Greenhouse & Nursery Workers: 1 year (preferred)
