Your Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists to support Primary Care in rural Alberta as an autonomous full scope Nurse Practitioner in Grande Cache. Grande Cache is located in the northern part of the Rocky Mountains with a population just over 4000. The local Grande Cache Community Health Complex provides a range of health care services including emergency, acute care, lab & diagnostic imaging, along with other allied health programs. This casual position offers the opportunity to support service gaps in Grande Cache (with the possibility of supporting other areas in rural Alberta if there is interest and depending on need). AHS will provide travel, accommodations and meal allowances for the successful candidate. This position may also qualify for the Canada Student Loan forgiveness program (minimum 400 hours required). Preference will be given to individuals able to provide care onsite in Grande Cache. However, consideration will be given to an NP with experience in providing virtual primary care. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Block booking available.
