Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Overall management and governance of store supplies for North America
  • Align reporting structures to provide visibility to key aspects of the store supplies category
  • Rationalize SKU assortments on an on-going basis in an effort to reduce cost and improve product assortment
  • Develop global relationships with top manufactures to drive improvement of stock levels and pricing leveraging economies of scale
  • Establish, implement and measure clear processes and procedures required to manage the category effectively
  • Analyze period Power BI cube data for category spend and trends to seek ways to reduce spend or cost avoidance
  • Garner monthly or period reports from vendors to include detail down to the store level of SKUs, product description, quantity purchased, and total spend. Ensure pricing data is accurate per the contract
  • Produce analytical assessment of vendor performance (period to period capacity and fiscal year)
  • Hold quarterly business reviews with vendors, providing a deep dive into service, sales and stock levels
  • Track rebates, pre-bates or signing bonuses to ensure timely and accurate receipt and posting
  • Manage process to add and/or delete store supplies SKUs
  • Work with vendors and Procurement on options to mitigate or minimize price increases
  • Create period budget data for all vendors and/or sub-categories within the store supplies realm
  • Work closely with Procurement on any store supplies RFP, contract extensions, amendments or SOWs
  • Coordinate and track testing of new products, publish results and recommendations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing professional networks
  • Contribute to additional projects as required

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5+ years’ experience in retail marketing, operations, procurement or category management preferred
  • 3-5 years’ of supply chain knowledge
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills are a plus
  • Power BI acumen is preferred
  • Takes initiative and works independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate, verbal and/or written, in a professional and positive demeanor with team members, internal stakeholders, BU stakeholders, Operations, leadership, and vendors
  • The location for the jobcan be based out of any of our BU offices in US or Canada.
