Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, as needed. This position requires a professional with expertise in network infrastructure, including significant experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies. The ideal candidate will be capable of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network solutions to ensure optimal performance and security for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other related technologies.
- Provide expert-level knowledge and troubleshooting for network environments, particularly those using Fortinet and Palo Alto products.
- Perform network assessments and security audits to recommend improvements and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to facilitate complex projects and ensure comprehensive integration of network services.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Monitor network performance and reliability to detect issues proactively and respond to alerts.
- Offer technical support and guidance during outages and other network disruptions, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Stay updated with the latest in network technology trends and security practices.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong background in network architecture, implementation, and maintenance.
- Specific expertise with Fortinet and Palo Alto network security products, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE (Fortinet Network Security Expert), or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Available to work on an as-needed basis, including availability for emergency situations and planned projects.
