Job Description

The National Marketing Manager – Buick will lead Buick’s marketing strategies, collaborating regularly with their US counterparts as well as number of internal GMCC departments/divisions.

This role will work closely with and report to the Brand Director, Buick/GMC and will lead, mentor, and develop their Marketing Segment Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Buick Brand Team in achieving Business Plan Targets – Sales, Market Share, Profitability and Brand Health
  • Develop strategic brand marketing plans that define the product, pricing, distribution and promotional strategy across the Buick Crossover and upcoming Electric Vehicle portfolio working collaboratively with the US marketing teams, and GMCC product planning, distribution and finance departments
  • Work closely with the Buick-GMC Marketing Communications Team and support them with comprehensive marketing briefs
  • Lead the monthly retail go-to-market strategies in support of RPM including competitive analysis and insights, product positioning and competitiveness, regional retail focus (product & pricing
  • Lead the execution of flawless product launches through all product planning gates through in-market launch
  • Develop inspiring and impactful training and promotional materials for field staff and dealer personnel (eg. Rallies, Conference Calls/Teams Meetings, Playbooks, VOD’s, etc)
Product Planning and Positioning
  • Lead development of strong product packaging strategies that meet/exceed consumer needs while providing maximum value
  • Develop pricing and incentive strategy that promotes profitable share growth for the brand
  • Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Distribution, CCA, and NA/Global colleagues, to ensure Canadian market needs are met in our products
  • Understand and mobilize key knowledge and insights that will help market and sell our vehicles more effectively
  • Act as marketing lead for GMCC product planning within Buick portfolio
Product Management
  • Actively manage sales, market share, and residual values to ensure brand stays on track related to its objectives
  • Identify issues and opportunities, and provide to management sound recommendations that effectively balance brand and enterprise goals
  • Fully leverage enterprise data and key research (JD Power PIN) to develop marketing strategy and tactics
  • Champion the products to ensure they are effectively promoted and serviced, by maintaining and leveraging productive relationships with CCA, Advertising team, Connected Customer Experience team, and PR/Product Comms team
  • Run point on coordinating new vehicle launches, product war room sessions, and monthly sales reporting
Organizational Capacity
  • Build strong, productive relationships with all marketing and GMCC functional counterparts, leveraging smart processes to drive efficiency
  • Coach and develop Marketing Segment Manager, leveraging CAP, 1:1 meetings, Workday Tools, and ongoing feedback
  • Demonstrate positive contributions to VSM and GMCC culture
