NextStar Energy (NSE) is a joint venture between LG Energy Solutions and Stellantis, the first automotive battery plant in Canada.
As an Equipment Engineer who received intensive 6-12 months training, you will be able to do following but not limited:
- able to train, develop and educate other technician in local sites.
- Compliant with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards.
- Equipment management through PM Planning, Technician Work orders, execution success rate and optimization of PM Items.
- Perform OEE BM Equipment improvement by performing root cause analysis and solving issues of equipment failures and implementing preventive plans and request and execute improvement.
- Managing Line of Balance through Equipment T time monitoring and derivation of improvement for neck process and unit and Capa management improvement per process and per line.
- EMS management: diagnosing, management for BM, PM and spare parts.
- Responsible for expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for equipment
- Develop and mentor Technician skills
- Establishing, revising, updating PFD, PD Manuals and equipment standards
Qualified candidate (s) for this position will have opportunity to be sent to company sponsored training plan for 6-12 months abroad.
For duration of the 6-12 months, the employee will be working closely with our expert Production Technician through mentoring programs.
- Will train, develop and gain knowledge and skills in battery manufacturing and Lithium Battery from incumbent technicians.
- Obtain Hands on experience working in battery manufacturing production and understanding, diagnosing and investigating issues that may arise from production, equipment and inspection.
- Collaborate and learn with internal teams to learn different sectors in technician fields: Production| Process| Inspection
- Communicate and analyze production issues and root cause issues with engineers and technicians team to find resolutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic/Electrical
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft access
- An individual with an Exposure in manufacturing/production setting, preferably in battery manufacturing.
•Willing and able to travel and train abroad for up to 6-12 month upon hiring
- Legally authorized to work in US / Canada
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing in a highly automated and/or automotive engineering environment
- Proven hands on experience in using following applications is required: Motion control, Servo Drives, Motors, YASKAWA Robot and Siemens PLC
