Currently hiring a full-time Journeyman (or Red Seal) Millwright Maintenance Mechanic to join a quickly expanding team in Port Coquitlam, BC!

Our company is a growing manufacturing company seeking a very confident Millwright Mechanic to join our team here in BC! We are looking for individuals with a large background in Plastic Manufacturing, Blow Molding, or Packaging machines. You will do well in this position if you can work independently troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, liquid filling machines, box erectors, bottle packers, palletizers, as well as labelling, heat shrink and packing machines to name a few. Our machines can vary in age and we work with some unique systems we make in house! We offer training, hands on experience, and lots of growth potential for you to take advantage of. Someone in this position should have a good understanding or electrical components and have experience with Welding and some Fabrication work. Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
Shift: Days (some Saturdays but rare). OT Optional
Shift Time: any 8 hours between 6am-6pm (depending on when you need to start or end- very flexible)
Wage offered: $40-43 for Journey or Red Seal tradesman

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand blueprints, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of machines such as conveyors, blow molding, box erectors and plastic packaging equipment etc.
  • Independently track and respond to needed PM’s and report issues, prevent further issues, and replace or request parts as required.
  • Communicate closely with the team to ensure you know where you are needed next and that part deliveries are coming in
  • Observation, investigation and Application! 3 very important steps to use daily in this role
  • Utilize a bit of welding and or fabrication and understand basic electronic components on working parts
  • Perform emergency repairs as well as minor check ups such as lubricants, bolt tightening, etc.

Qualifications
  • Background in Plastic Manufacturing facility or experience with Blow Molding or Packaging Equipment highly preferred
  • Journeyman status or Red Seal Certified needed
  • Experience with preventative maintenance on large, constantly running equipment
  • Ability to learn and diagnose issues that arise in an "emergency" to "can wait" order
  • Can work alone, and communicate well with a very close team
  • Available full time and are open to some Saturdays or OT as needed
  • Located in or around the Port Coquitlam, BC area
