We have an exciting opportunity for a Millwright in our Barrie, ON Plant . We are seeking an energetic individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will work with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Licensed Millwright (Red Seal), preference given to dual ticketed candidates
• 5 + years in a previous manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, plastic experience is an asset
• Knowledge of robots and automation equipment a must
• Experience/exposure working with Injection Molding Machines is an asset
• Current forklift and overhead crane license an asset - training to be provided as needed
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs as required
• Climbing heights in excess of 10’
• Working in confined spaces
• Use of hand tools
• Must be able to work a 12-hour continental night shift 7:00 pm - 7:15 am (84 hours bi-weekly)
• Week 1 work Monday, Tuesday and Friday (36 hours)
• Week 2 work Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday (48 hours)

Responsibilities:

• Perform hydraulic and mechanical preventative maintenance processes
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits involving servo valves and variable displacement pumps
• Install equipment on injection molding machines and throughout the facility
• Welding and fabrication as needed
• Troubleshoot failures on injection molding machines and determine root cause
• Maintain and repair automation equipment
• Repair material loading systems and material dryers
• Repair and rebuild pumps as needed
• Repair and maintain material grinders
• Maintain and modify conveyors
• Follow and consistently exercise current work instructions daily
• Actively participate in the 5S, SAFE and Continuous Improvement programs
• Continuous participation in all facility waste management and environmentally related programs and training
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
