Martha’s House Administrative Assistant Permanent Part Time FTE 0.80 09:00 - 15:00

Position Summary:

The position of Administrative Assistant will commit to incorporate our mission, vision, and our values, which are Compassion, Collaboration, Respect, Social Justice, Integrity and Stewardship, and uphold our ethical traditions as foundational aspects in all actions and decision-making.
Covenant Care is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Martha’s House site in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides reception, administrative, scheduling / payroll services and works with the Site Manager on receiving and responding to inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative assistance and clerical services to the Site Manager and Leadership team.
  • Provides receptionist duties while working at front desk.
  • Responsible for daily admission, discharge, and transfers of all residents.
  • Fiscal Responsibilities such as managing petty cash and making deposits of food/ resident payments
  • Other duties as requested.
Major Qualifications
  • Certificate in Secretarial/ Administrative Assistant required
  • Two (2) years of secretarial/administrative experience required (In supportive living environment preferred)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and desktop publishing programs
  • Experience is DayForce HRIS software is beneficial
  • Courteous in receiving and assisting residents, families, volunteer and visitors
  • Experience working with seniors is an asset
  • Ability to set priorities, self motivated, able to work under pressure and deal with people in a conflict situation Ability to maintain good working relations with staff, public and outside agencies
  • Effective written (including electronic) and verbal communication
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Flexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlook
PLEASE NOTE:
Covenant Living offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package.

All employees new to Covenant Living must provide a criminal record check not older than 90 days ahead of your commencement date. Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Person Screening processing is taking much longer than typical (3 to 4 weeks) and that commencing the process in advance is advisable.
