Your Opportunity:Reporting to Manager, Adult Addiction and Mental Health, Grande Prairie and under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, this position works independently as a member of a multiple disciplinary team providing evidence informed and best practices in assessment, treatment, addiction and mental health interventions, support and follow-up to clients. This is an advanced mental health role required to perform the restricted activity of Psychosocial Interventions to address the full range of addiction and mental health issues. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.Description:As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.Additional Required Qualifications:Training in crisis intervention, assessment and case management skills. Current CPR certificate at the BLS Level C.Preferred Qualifications:Courses/training/certification relevant to the hiring area (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Systems for an A&MH program, etc.)
