Your Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists with NE Campus for a temporary Transition Coordinator. The position manages flow and intake for both Carnat Centre for Mental Health Rehabilitation and Community Addictions and Mental Health, NE Campus and reports directly to the Program Manager, NE Campus. The clinic provides services to those experiencing moderate to severe addiction and mental health issues and requires someone who is a self-starter, has a good knowledge of community resources, and can manage time effectively while juggling priorities.

Description:

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team collaborating on the delivery of care for the needs of individuals, families and/or communities. You will be responsible for the intake, clinical interviews and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders. You will liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members as required. You may have the opportunity to participate in program planning, development and to provide supervision to practicum students. This position is open to Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists.

Required Qualifications:

Occupational Therapists: Completion of bachelor¿s degree in Occupational Therapy and active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Psychologists: Completion of bachelor’s degree in Psychology and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses: Completion of an accredited Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing education program and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Social Workers: Completion of bachelor’s degree in Social Work and active (or eligible registration) with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

1-3 years’ experience within addiction and mental health, preferably community.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous intake experience is an asset. E-Scheduler experience.
