This Medical Receptionist position requires a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients, healthcare professionals, insurance providers, etc. One of Robert Half’s clients needs a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist! This short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Windsor, Ontario area. As the Medical Receptionist, you will be providing customer service over the phone and in-person, acting as the director of first impressions. Apply as soon as possible!

Your responsibilities in this role

• Delegating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, faxing, scanning, etc.
• Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
• Responding to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
• Helping out in the management of patient medical records
• Receiving patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
• Helping with patient’s paperwork occasionally
• Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
• Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
• Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
  

Requirements

• Incoming phone call management skills desired
• You can succeed in this position if you have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
• Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Medical Record
• Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
• Skills in multi-line phone systems preferred
• General grasp of medical terminology
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
• High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
