Mission*
CIMA+ is currently looking for a Mechanical Designer who will join our Mechanical and Piping Team. This role will be located either in our Edmonton, Saskatoon, Calgary offices. They will work within a multidisciplinary design team on mining and manufacturing projects.

Primary Responsibilities*

• Detailed engineering design and drafting for both greenfield and brownfield projects
• Prepare conceptual layout work
• Develop design details for mechanical equipment, fasteners, piping, ducting, etc.
• Produce material take-offs, bills of materials, etc.
• Utilize design software including AutoCAD, Plant3D, REVIT, Solidworks, Navisworks
• Participation in formal engineering review processes
• Experience in 3D scanning would be an asset
• Possible field/site assistance for design and data collection
• Able to navigate effectively through design codes such as CSA, building code, ASME

Profile*

• Mechanical Engineering technology diploma or equivalent – mechanical/industrial
• 5 or more years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant3D, Solidworks, REVIT, Navisworks, BIM, etc (2D drafting and 3D modeling)
• Capacity to interact within a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong technical and design skills and commitment to producing quality deliverables
• Member of ASET (or other provincial technologist professional association) is considered an asset
