Mid-Isle Farms and Position Overview:

Located in Albany, PE, Mid-Isle Farms has been proudly packaging and shipping fresh, quality Prince Edward Island Potatoes across North America for over 35 years.

Working within a small collaborative team, the Sales and Account manager role will assist to develop and execute marketing plans, meet sales targets and track marketing and sales data to identify opportunities and areas of improvement.

Marketing and Sales Job Duties:

• Contributes information, ideas and research to help develop marketing and sale strategies for product inventory, this includes pricing and inventory management for various potato products.
• Develops, establishes and maintains business and customer relationships to provide required level of service to deliver on each order.
• Monitors industry information and updates market pricing and quantities for customers through Request for Quote (RFQ) as well as direct negotiation with customers.
• Works to set schedules and coordinate with Mid-Isle Farms production management to meet order delivery schedules for customers and coordinate logistics.
• Creates sales and purchase orders and evaluates sales margins for analysis and continuous improvement of marketing and sales strategies.

Who we are looking for:

• Communication skills (verbal and written) will be key with both customers and Mid-Isle Farms colleagues to ensure required level of service is met for our customers and efficiencies can be met through the facility.

• Ability to communicate with customers in French would be considered an asset.

• The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively in a small team, be self-motivated, analytical and be able to assist with business planning, strategies and data tracking for continuous improvement.

Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business Administration or related field would be considered an asset, however, relevant experience and previous success in similar roles will not be discounted.
