As an industry expert, the IT B2C Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the division’s marketing strategy in order to further enhance LG brand awareness in Canada while supporting the company’s short and long-term financial objectives.The successful incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end brand management responsibility of LG Laptop, Monitor and Projector products.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Leadership
- Further elevate LG’s brand profile within the gaming monitor category while strengthening our position in UltraWide and Ultrathin monitor categories.
- Establish and grow the LG gram laptop business in Canada.
- Effectively market LG/ laptop and monitor products to defined target segments.
- Develop plans to leverage existing or potential opportunity Partnerships consistent with the Lg gram or Monitor brands.
- Work with Sales and Digital teams to leverage Amazon Brand Store to increase sales.
- Work with the senior management team to develop and execute marketing strategies, tactics, and plans for the business to increase revenues and market share.
- Execute an annual marketing plan designed to increase revenues and market share.
- Ensure all product touchpoints to the consumer are consistent with the company’s corporate guidelines and brand position.
- Create a branding strategy that leverages the core strengths of the brand while positioning it for future growth.
- Oversee production of creative content.
- Work closely with HQ contacts to localize Brand and Creative elements for Canadian market.
- Work cross-functionally with Corp teams including Digital, PR and Sponsorship to strategize and execute both long-term and tactical plans.
- Work closely with Partners on marketing programs
- Work closely with Sales to develop and execute in-store displays or POP.
- Build relationships with Dealers to develop and amplify marketing campaigns.
- Provide final approval on all co-branded creative assets.
- Effectively manage Advertising, Media, and Research agency relationships in order to ensure brand and message alignment, timely execution of initiatives.
- Succinct completion of Advertising, Media, and Research agency briefings with the support of other internal stakeholders in order to ensure the campaign purpose, target customers, timelines and expected results are commonly understood.
- Work with Product Managers to understand new product launches, key messaging, and features for campaign messaging.
- Develop and foster relationships with industry/influencer experts to bring credibility to LG laptop and Monitor markets.
- Own the IT (Monitor/Laptop/Projector) marketing budget and process.
- Set, track, and report on marketing performance metrics that demonstrate marketing ROI and customer engagement.
- Strategize and develop activities related to advertising, public relations, sponsorships, tradeshows, and sales support.
- Gather relevant data on customer segments and actively monitor and analyze this data to refine marketing strategy and generate consumer insights.
- Management of budget and processing of invoices on a monthly basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of 7-10 years of brand management experience with demonstrated record of positive business results.
- Expert knowledge of the IT industry relating to Laptops and Monitors is an asset.
- Prior experience managing and leading an Inter-agency team ranging consisting of advertising, media, and Public Relations agencies.
- Consumer marketing experience, specifically in the areas of targeting, brand strategy and positioning, marketing plan development, execution, and post-analysis.
- Strong relationship management skills, both internal and external, with the ability to prioritize business needs.
- Strong analytical skills in applying principles of logic or scientific thinking, including advanced mathematical concepts, to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Superior communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to pivot quickly in response to changing market dynamics and competitive activities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple product categories within the business.
- A track record of leading marketing efforts in a customer service-oriented environment.
- Ability to present a fresh perspective to existing industries and products.
- Some domestic and international travel required (subject to prevailing regulations)
