FreeYumm is a natural foods company that produces grab and go snacks suited especially for those managing specialty diets.

We are a BC based family-run business and are looking for a talented individual to help grow our brand. We are offering some flexibility in this permanent position in terms of hours and days. While this is a remote role, ideal candidates will be in the greater Vancouver area, so they can attend in-person company meetings and handle logistical tasks when required. We are looking for a smart and capable team player with a dynamic set of skills that will help us build our brand awareness in North America. You will work with our sales and marketing teams to support social media, marketing campaigns, sales activities, and events. Your role is to oversee our social media agency, organize in-store demos, track and fulfill sales samples, plan and execute consumer-facing events in Canada, facilitate trade show logistics, provide customer service duties, and execute other marketing activities and administrative duties as required.

You are responsible for:

  • Organizing in-store demo programs through third-party demo operators in Canada. This includes training demo operators on the brand and line of products.
  • Leading trade show and consumer show preparation by coordinating appropriate event logistics, marketing materials, and promotional activities. This includes executing consumer shows in the Vancouver area.
  • Responsible for overseeing FreeYumm’s relationship with our social media agency. As the key contact person, you will collaborate closely with the agency to execute our social media strategy, ensuring alignment with our brand’s objectives and values.
  • Expense tracking for all marketing functions.
  • Work with creative teams to execute photo/video assets.
  • Creating or updating sales/marketing presentations.
  • Shipping & receiving of marketing supplies. This includes fulfilling product sample requests to support sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluating and fulfilling product donation requests.
  • Overseeing the customer service function and updating the consumer feedback log.
  • Providing feedback, suggestions, and observations to the team.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with other administrative duties as required.

  • Have prior sales and marketing experience.
  • Have prior experience managing corporate social media accounts.
  • Haveexperience in the natural products industry or have a personal connection to the allergen community.
  • Have experience working with external agencies or vendors.
  • Love to problem solve and can think analytically.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales/marketing business environment.
  • Diploma or degree in sales/marketing or a related field.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple products simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of regular hours as required i.e. Social media, and special events.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Willing and able to drive in Canada – must hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Willing and able to carry heavy items (20+ pounds).
