Our Marketing / Sales / Product Management teams play a key role in how ABB’s technologies contribute to a more productive and sustainable future. Helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, reliability and productivity while reducing emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose Would you like to be the one to tell our story? We are looking for an energetic creative powerhouse, passionate about writing engaging copy that inspires actions. Our content specialist works closely with graphic designers, digital experts and strategic marketing partners to brainstorm ideas, create concepts and develop messaging for various campaign assets. This role could be for you if you are a bit of a grammar geek, have a great talent for writing, a small ego and have already identified some options to improve this text!

Your responsibilities

  • Interpret information supplied by strategic marketing business partners, develop and present compelling value propositions and concept options.
  • Deliver exceptional content for traditional and digital marketing, including ads, video scripts, event displays, sales communications, web content, social media posts, brochures, PPT presentations, etc.
  • As content expert of the marketing team, develop and lead a content development strategy that ensures consistency and quality across all elements of a campaign and drives project effectiveness.
  • Research and understand the needs of our target audiences, their preferences, the different tones and styles to use and market trends and share best practices with the team all while respecting ABB’s tone of voice and branding standards.
  • Review copy from colleagues or external resources with a constructive approach and ensure basic quality assurance by making the necessary corrections.
  • Ensure quality and compliance of translation services.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating on multiple projects simultaneously and supporting the marketing team through various project phases, often requiring short turnaround times.
  • Metabolize feedback from multiple sources with judgement, diplomacy and positivity and revise content accordingly to drive engagement.
  • Roll up your sleeves to perform any other related tasks required.

Your background

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, vocabulary, flow and grammar, in both English and French.
  • Strong creative skills and ability to develop marketing concepts linking various content elements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising or other related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of professional writing or content development experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines.
  • Good to have: knowledge of Office suite, SEO practices, social media and ease of adapting to different digital tools.
