Superport Marine’s Line Hander position offers an excellent opportunity to start and develop in the marine industry. We have been an industry leader and preferred employer in the Strait of Canso for over 40 years. Our talented and experienced marine crew operate a fleet of highly capable tugs, workboats, pilot boats and barges in the Strait of Canso and throughout Atlantic Canada.

Line Handler Position

Superport Marine has immediate openings for Line Handler positions. On the job training will be provided. This a flexible position on a call-out basis with the following requirements:

• Work in crews to support ship line handling (mooring and unmooring) operations
• Manual pulling and lifting mooring lines from water to a mooring bollard/bit/cleat ashore required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience in the marine industry (fishing or commercial) an asset
• Must have access to a vehicle and be willing to work flexible hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
