Manufacturing Engineer

K-Hart Industries Ltd. designs, manufactures, and globally distributes seeding and harvesting equipment for the conservation minded agricultural producer. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help drive the growth of our vibrant company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in a small high-performance team to achieve growth metrics
• Work with ERP system to ensure on-time manufacturing of required components
• Support daily production cells by troubleshooting, collecting, and monitoring data to ensure equipment uptime and appropriate throughputs are being achieved hourly and daily by using analysis tools such as Microsoft excel
• Work with shop leads to develop appropriate tooling for welding and assembly processes.
• Work with production staff to develop appropriate welding and assembly procedures.
• Monitor quality of product and remedy deficiencies through drawing revision or process improvement.
• Maintain production information in ERP system
• Work with Inventory Coordinator to manage inventory levels of product and supplies.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by utilizing a cross functional team to analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Maintain safe work procedures and policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology degree or 3 year Engineering Technologist diploma
• Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills and Knowledge

• Good English communication skills, written and oral.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a multi-faceted team.
• Able to read production drawings.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems, proficiency with Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills to evaluate multiple options and make concise decisions.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines utilizing excellent organizational and time management skills.

Job Type:

• Full time, permanent
• 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Salary Range:

• $65,000 to $95,000 per year.
