As a Manager, Reporting & Insights, you will lead and oversee Business Reporting, Analytics and Insights for Scotia Securities Inc. Working closely with multiple stakeholders of Scotia Securities Inc., you will be required to demonstrate strong written and communication skills, and expected to deliver innovative reporting and analytics solutions, including self-service and cloud based. The Manager, Reporting & Insights is a key member of the Scotia Securities Inc. Head Office team and ensures business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Foster an inclusive work environment and ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science / Analytics / Business Intelligence
• 5+ years of experience in programming, application development and/or data warehousing.
• Advanced experience in SQL/Power BI/Tableau/Visual Studio. Python/R knowledge is an asset.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in data infrastructure management - data mining, profiling, modeling, cleansing, enriching as well as extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions and scripting
• Ability to translate technical knowledge into business value.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of Canadian Retail Banking and Wealth Management Distribution
