Position Summary...

The incumbent in this role works to protect and enhance Walmart’s reputation in Canada with a focus on community relations, local media relations, content development and storytelling and digital media.

What you’ll do...

Contract Role: 18 Months

• Plan and execute internal and external communication plans to support business unit initiatives.

• Develop and manage creative content including writing, video production, graphic design and digital content such as blog and social media posts.

• Lead planning, execution and content building for corporate and engagement events.

• Build relationships across the business and local media in communities where Walmart operates.

• Support management of local reputation issuesand crisis communications.

• Conduct media monitoring.

Qualifications

• College diploma/degree in PR, comms, media preferred
• 4-5 years experience in PR/comms/Agency/Retail preferred ‎
