Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced food plant and machine maintenance person to join our team. You will manage many day-to-day aspects of the production/warehouse maintenance and installation schedule. You will be accountable for the completion of assigned projects within your scope including sourcing, budgets and schedule of installation.

The Role:

It is important to be a hands-on person who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and support the team on the floor when needed. The main challenge is to stay focused and organized through project plans as you effectively program, commission, communicate and deliver on objectives with different teams and departments at the same time troubleshooting through complex issues on multiple projects.

Knowledge & skills

· You have strong programming skills (project programming/logic creation)

· You have strong electrical skills (planning, budgeting, quoting, purchasing, installation)

· You have great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

· You have intermediate Auto-Cad skills

Experience

· You have 7-10 years of relevant Industrial programming, electrical and commissioning experience

· You have experience with Industrial Control Panels and Motor Control circuits

· You have experience with mechanical design

· You have experience leading projects and managing tradespeople/contractors

· You have experience with projects involving manufacturing plants

· You have experience with Microsoft Operating systems

· Experience in a manufacturing environment

things you will do…

· Work as Project-lead

· PLC programming

· Participate in the sourcing, pricing, installation, testing and maintenance of production/ warehouse equipment and automated machinery

· Commission automated equipment relating to food processing (conveyors, packaging machines, xray/metal detection etc.)

· Demonstrate the ability to work hands on and understand the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical systems

· Provide technical support to operations relating to automation and controls for troubleshooting production equipment, coordinating efforts, and expediting repairs.

· Modification and troubleshooting of existing automated production equipment

· May on occasion work at various times including evenings and weekends, as the job requires

· On-call availability required for occasional troubleshooting/breakdowns

· Must have a valid DL and vehicle

· Must be able to travel internationally including the United States

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00-$48.00 per hour
