POSITION: Maintenance Electrician
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
LOCATION: Moncton Plant
SALARY: $29.95 per hour, as per collective agreement

MARKETS:
Bimbo Canada serves major grocery chains, retail outlets and food service operations across Canada. The company distributes branded products in the discount, mainstream and super-premium segments, and is the leading producer in most major bakery categories. It also produces private label products for grocery and food service outlet.

Premiums Offered:
  • We offer a shift premium of 0.75 cents which shall be paid for all hours worked between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
  • We offer a shift premium of 0.75 cents which shall be paid for all hours worked between 12:00am and 9:00pm on Sundays
  • Dual ticket rates for additional maintenance tickets
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, install and service electrical panels, control panels, electrical circuits and motors for specialized processing and packaging equipment in a food processing plant
  • Start-up and test, troubleshoot, modify, program and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen Bradley
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, commission machinery and equipment, repair or replace defective components
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery
  • Pull cable and wires and terminate connections
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks and troubleshooting
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Licensed Industrial Electrician or Construction Electrician with equivalent experience
  • Apprentices in Industrial Electrician or Electromechanical technology field are encouraged to apply
  • Results oriented individual who is able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Experience in industrial controls
  • Mechanical skills an asset
  • Need to be able to: read, write and understand instructions in English, work at heights, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, crawl under conveyors, work in extreme hot/cold environment, work in dusty environment, work in close proximity with the allergens.
  • Comfortable using computers and programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Must be very flexible with work hours and available to work weekends.
