The position develops electrical and control systems engineering policies, practices and standards and, oversees projects for electrical/electronic and video control system applications that facilitate and control the safe movement of vehicles and traffic, using in-house resources or consultants.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, AND
  • 7 years’ experience in electrical, electronics or video systems engineering related to highways or transportation systems and electrical and control system infrastructure or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be registered, or immediately eligible* for registration as a fully licensed Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
  • Note: Immediately eligible is defined as being registered as a professional Engineer in another Canadian jurisdiction, and able to transfer that membership to the EGBC within 6 months of employment. It is the responsibility of the applicant to have their qualifications reviewed by the appropriate body to ensure they have the necessary requirements for registration.
