We have been in the Produce business since the 1930’s, primarily known for leafy greens. We sell commodities straight from the field or we add value to the commodities in our processing facilities. We currently serve the Retail, Wholesale and specialty services markets across Canada and North Eastern US. We market under our own brand names or we offer private label options as a service. Our Queen Victoria brand, along with Lovin’ Life and Frisco’s have been consumer favorites for decades. We are Canadian and family-owned, currently on our fourth generation of the Ippolito name! We nurture strong relationships with local growers - some of whom have been supplying us exclusively for decades. We are vertically integrated. Along with our sister companies and exclusive suppliers, we grow, pack, ship, process, warehouse and distribute (full service) – we control our own supply chain from start to finish. THE ROLE:

Currently seeking three roles:

• City Dispatch
• US Dispatch
• Canadian Linehaul Dispatch

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the traffic and freight flow through the business – providing superior customer service and dispatching accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Some of the day-to-day tasks involve (but not limited to):
• Provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Line up orders shipping outbound from the US, Canada and Local
• Customs clearance
• Enter orders with accurate details: pieces, weight, rates, trace #s, etc.
• Enter Famous POs and create mixer sheets (manifests) for inbound freight to NSR for delivery / on-distribution.
• Schedule delivery appointments.
• Load plan to maximize use of available space on trailer to promote greater profitability and sequence routes that ensure delivery success.

WHAT YOU BRING TO IPPOLITO:

Education

• Completion of post-secondary education is an asset.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience working in the transportation industry in an operations (dispatch load broker type role) position is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good well-rounded understanding of the general freight business i.e. Flat bed, container, dry freight.

• Understanding of weights and dimensions as well as the various types of equipment available and its specifications capabilities and limitations. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
