Summary

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is the leading and largest vertically integrated IT Asset Disposition & Recycling processor in Canada. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for processing and verifying all necessary logistics requirements for inbound and outbound freight and in charge of facilitating the flow of materials from its supply to delivery.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all logistics functions including compliance with legislation, carrier / driver efficiency by coordinating transportation for local inbound and outbound orders as well as overseas imports and exports.

  • Complete documentation such as pick lists, bills of ladings, custom invoices and shipping orders while maintaining open orders with priority of the purchase contract.
  • Maintain efficient communication to customers and follow-up of shipment status
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date shipping and receiving schedule; keep internal stakeholders updated on changes.
  • Dispatch freight and contact carrier representatives, plan and issue shipping and delivery instructions.
  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to ensure booked orders are accurate with relevant paperwork and follow organizational standards and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible.
  • Makes certain that delivery and documentary instructions are followed, and freight is loaded in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Document and rectify or escalate any customer service issues such as damages, shortages, non-conformance to specifications etc
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier and Company information
  • Participate in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the job
  • Ensure to work with / use security measures, procedures and devices as required.
  • Other job duties, as required


Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years logistics / supply chain management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Post-secondary education (Economics, Trade or Transportation, Supply Chain Management)
  • Knowledge of waste management, scrap metal material, processing and packaging is an assetof common industry software
  • Required to stand, walk and sit; kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
