Classic Hits Coast 101.1 has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team in a key role of Local Sales Manager for Classic Hits Coast 101.1

Reporting to the General Manager, the Local Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the daily sales and administrative activities of an experienced sales team while ensuring achievement of sales budgets and client service delivery. Success in the role will be achieved through collaborating and coaching the team; generating new strategies and solutions to grow existing business and attracting new clients.

They will work directly with a select list of advertising clients as well as manage key customer relationships and monitor competitive trends to ensure timely response to customer and market changes. Building relationships in the community will also be important to help strengthen the existing customer base and identify potential for new accounts.

Managing and developing the sales team will be key in delivering the required results. They will be responsible for hiring, performance management and budget planning/management for the team. The successful candidate must be an advocate for proven sales policies and practices as well as regular communication and sales reporting.

Benefitting from previous experience in a direct business to business sales preferably broadcast advertising environment and in leading a direct sales team, the Local Sales Manager will have demonstrated ability to manage daily local sales business revenues and a track record of successfully delivering on sales budgets and client service delivery. They will have an ability to build strong client relationship and lead and motivate a team of sales professionals. Strong organizational skills, effective problem-solving acumen and a positive can-do attitude are a must for the job. An ability to translate the marketing objectives of our clients to devise unique solutions to meet their needs would be highly valued.

Training in a business or sales related discipline would be considered an asset however combinations of education and experience will be considered. Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications is required.
