This is an exciting opportunity to join the Maternal Child team at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. We are an interdisciplinary team providing care to Antepartum, Postpartum patients along with newborns. We also care for medical/surgical patients Our care model is focused on Patient and Family centered care. It is an expectation that all team members support the Women & Children’s portfolio as required.

Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Additional Required Qualifications (1500 Character Limit) 1 year of Maternity experience Knowledge of Antenatal Pathway

Preferred Qualifications:

Immunization Certification Knowledge of Antenatal, Prenatal, and Post-Partum Care Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Ambulatory Care
