Reporting to the Team Lead of Employment Services, you will supervise a team of administrative specialists that support the business needs in Calgary Transit. You will respond to requests from the Director’s Office with tight timelines, prepare work plans, and budget a variety of projects. Primary duties include:
  • Mange performance and supervise administrative staff including recruitment and selection, training, investigations and disciplinary issues.
  • Coordinate business unit support, liaise with internal clients, balance workload, monitor deadlines and adjust staff to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with enabling services to coordinate initiatives and facility improvements.
  • Create training processes and policies to ensure consistency across the business unit.
  • Support special projects as required including arranging support to the business unit for roll out of corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A completed 2 year diploma in Business Administration, Secretarial Administration or a related field and at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word) is required.
  • Experience in change management, planning and research and supervising staff is an asset.
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Level D $74,854 - 111,436 per annum
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
