Responsibilities and Duties

• Draft Court-related documents, including pleadings, applications, affidavit of documents, and/or affidavits of service, for the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and/or Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario;
• Drafting letters and correspondence to various third parties including government agencies;
• Answering incoming calls from prospective and existing clients;
• Screening callers regarding their reasons for the call and completing preliminary interview forms to better assist lead counsel;
• Take messages and relay to staff via email;
• Address incoming email requests for consultations;
• Filing (electronic and/or paper);
• Mail sorting, scanning documents and client intake;
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

• Previous law firm experience is required;
• Answer incoming phone calls;
• Effectively communicate (verbally and written) information with team members and clients;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• High organization skills and strong time management;
• Excellent Customer Service;
• Detail-oriented;
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities;
• Ability to prioritize and follow instruction;
• Work independently and as a team;
• Ability to work under pressure and complete time sensitive tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $38,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
