All employees will be required to consent to screening by MCFD upon hire, and again every third and fifth year of employment.

The Youth Caregiver provides support to youth in a home setting with a focus on the development of appropriate behaviors and life skills training.

Responsibilities

Providing a healthy, caring, and professional relationship that softens the transition of the individuals in care

·Follow the Care Plans as set out by the Social Workers, RYSE Management, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.

·Completing Daily Progress Notes, Data collection on Person Centered Goals and progress made towards personal goals.

·Transportation to and from appointments

·Teaching life skills as appropriate to our person served

·Meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry and daily cleaning

·Engage individuals in leisure/recreational activities in the community and in the home

·Create a home environment, engaging as a respectful role model.

·Provide transportation in your own vehicle, ensuring safety of individual in care

·Supervise visits with family members when required

Job Type: Full-time 3 shifts per week, Part-time 2 shifts per week, Casual 1 shift per week

Full-Time Emplpoyees are entitled to 50% Employer Paid Health Benefits through Blue Cross; Eligible after 3 months probationary period. Subject to maintaining full-time employement with RYSE.

Wage Grid

Overnight- Awake Shift

$20.37 hourly rate – Overnight shifts are at a set rate, without subject to annual increases.

Day Shifts

$20.37 1st tier 12 months duration (including the 90-day probationary period)

$20.97 2nd tier 12 months duration

$21.57 3rd tier 12-month duration

$22.17 4th tier wage grid max
