Busy heavy equipment shop in NORTH NISKU looking for a wash & detail laborer. Wash and detail experience preferred. Equipment operating experience would be a benefit. Our company specializes in sales and service of telehandlers, man lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts. This is an entry level position but depending on aptitude and attitude, could work into an apprenticeship in the future.

Role and Responsibilities

• Washing and detailing equipment
• Yard and shop maintenance
• Receiving and loading out equipment
• Helping mechanics as required

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Loading and unloading with forklift
• Equipment operating experience an asset but not required
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Ability to carry out work assignments given to you in a timely manner
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Work Conditions

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
• PPE required at all times
• Overtime as required
• Hazards associated with the trade
• Work mostly outdoors in yard and occasionally in shop
• May be exposed to construction sites
