Your Opportunity:

The Unit Manager is accountable for the effective management of a nursing unit during an assigned shift or the effective management of designated area within a unit including the management of human, material, and financial resources and for support, implementation of Connect Care.

Description:

The Unit Manager’s role is to promote optimum patient care. The essential components of this first line management position are administration, practice, education and research. The functions and responsibilities of the position are executed within the context of the unit goals. The Unit Manager is expected to provide leadership in providing quality patient care. Essential to this leadership role is the use of effective communication skills with Patient Care Manager, staff, and other department representatives. Graduate of a recognized School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. 1-2 years related management or leadership experience. 5 years current surgical clinical experience.
