Job Description


IBI Group is seeking to hire an Intermediate Transportation Engineer to join our teams working out of the Toronto office.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and indicate an interest/willingness to work on a wide variety of projects.

Most Of The Things You’ll Work On:

  • Roadway planning and design studies, assessments for existing transportation facilities and planned improvements
  • Traffic operations review / capacity analysis, parking demand review, and road user safety studies
  • Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of schedule and budget
  • Preparation of technical reports and documentation related to current or prospective projects
  • Client liaison

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer designation, or eligible for P. Eng. Designation
  • 5-15 years’ experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MTO, TAC geometric design standards, Ontario Traffic Manual and Highway Capacity Manual
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and produce technical reports
  • Strategic, analytical, and practical thinker
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, Synchro, VISSIM
  • Effective communication in the English language (verbal and written)
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the team

Additional Information


We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office we’re located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
