The Universal Group has an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Permit Coordinator to join our TMP team. Reporting to the TMP Manager, the TMP Permit Coordinator partners with the TMP group and internal clients to drive forward our purpose of providing Peace of Mind to our clients and our employees. The Role

As a TMP Permit Coordinator, you will develop transportation strategies that consider environment, efficiency, and safety issues in the private or public sector.

What you will do:

• Proactively build and maintain contractor relationships, communicating with clients to evaluate their needs and specifications
• Apply for and manage permits for the department
• Maintain the level of professionalism required when interacting with co-workers and clients
• Coordinate with dispatch, when required, surrounding permits you’ve acquired
• Liaise with road authority contacts to meet clients needs
• Liaise with clients to coordinate their work, dates, and other requirements
• Exercise considerable independence and judgment within the framework of established guidelines
• Work collaboratively with co-workers when needed for challenging issues and when to elevate more complex issues to the TMP Assistant Manager
• Perform other job-related duties as required

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and spoken
• Familiarity with BC geography is an asset
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize workload; meet project scheduling and delivery requirements
• Intermediate computer skills required with focus on Google Workspace, monday.com, Invarion/AutoCad
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• A valid BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required
