+VG Architects is a full-service architectural firm known for our innovative approaches to projects throughout Southern Ontario and abroad. With offices in Toronto, Brantford, and Ottawa, we specialize in projects in the Institutional Sector including heritage, educational, municipal, cultural and recreational buildings.

Our Toronto Studio is a mid-sized office where you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in a collaborative setting alongside a team of dedicated architects, designers, technologists and technicians.

Positions:

Junior REVIT Technologist with a minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in design and working drawing production working in REVIT. Additional experience in AutoCAD will be considered an asset. You will be working in Autodesk BIM 360 collaborative environment. You should have the ability to work within a team, using established workflows and be able to develop and work within project specific protocols. You will work and share knowledge among a diverse group of peers and will work directly with the project architect to support and execute project direction. This position is well suited for someone looking to build their technical skillsets working on a variety of complex building model types.

Intermediate Technologist / Intern Architectwith 2 -5 years experience. This position is principally for the production of contract documents and working drawings. Your role will be to work on projects from design development through working drawings and support our senior technologists and project architects completing thorough and competent Construction Documentation. You will be working in both Revit and AutoCAD environments. Skills with project visualization programs such as Enscape or SketchUp will be considered an asset. You should have experience with best practice building envelope design and detailing. Also experience preparing Ontario Building Codes Analysis for projects and applying these requirements in the development of the building. Building typologies will include Institutional, Commercial, and Recreational building. Experience in Residential would also be considered and asset.

Qualifications include:

o Graduate degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Architectural Engineering

o Years experience commensurate with the identified position

o Ability and desire to work in a team environment

o Software Proficiencies: AutoCAD and Revit

o Understanding of the Ontario Building Code

o General knowledge of construction detailing and building science principles

o Experience and understanding of ALL phases of projects: design and production

o Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills required.

Salary:

$60K to $70k for Junior REVIT Technologist and $75K – $80k for Intermediate Technologist / Intern Architect
