The job:

The technical support technician conducts interventions on hardware, software and IT asset layouts at the head office, branches and manufacturing plants. Specifically, deploying computers and peripherals, and providing level 1 and 2 technical support to all end-users.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, configure, test and install hardware and peripherals
  • Provide users with technical support with computers, printers, bar code readers and other equipment as required.
  • Install and configure software on workstations as per procedures
  • Provide software support
  • Participate to software research and tests in order to find solutions to the organization needs
  • Maintain good order in the server room and equipment storage
  • Facilitate workstation connectivity.
  • Identify technical needs and analyze feasibility
  • Document incidents and resolutions in tickets
  • Drive to various locations when presence is required

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education (or equivalent);
  • 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Solid knowledge of Windows XP to Windows 10, Windows Server 2000 to 2016;
  • iOS and Android knowledge
  • Experience with Active Directory Users and Computers and the Exchange console
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Office 365 nice to have
  • Familiar with IP networks (hardware and services)
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and French
  • Ability to work in an inter-active environment
  • Analysis and problem solving capabilities
  • Available for on-call rotation – cellphone is provided
  • Knowledge of analog, numeric or VoIP telephony is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Available for traveling in Quebec and Ontario
  • Functional knowledge of MFA/Azure Console nice to have
