The Challenge:

This Field Tank Technician position highly impacts other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of the work you are doing.

The Field Tank Technician will travel to our sites across Alberta, British Columbia, and the Yukon. The schedule is 14/7.

This is a physical job, so you must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, and there is regular overtime.

What you will do day-to-day:

  • Prepare work orders and other necessary paperwork and documentation according to AFD and customer requirements.
  • Regular repairs and maintenance of the heavy-duty fleet, vehicles, and equipment
  • Accountable for maintaining service parts inventories in the assigned service truck
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot problems with mechanical and electronic equipment
  • Meet scheduling and on-call requirements (service calls, customer service, etc.)
  • Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for Company tools, equipment and vehicles used
  • Meet Company, Customer, and Legislative safety standards (i.e., personal protective equipment, equipment/material handling, etc.)
  • Installation of hose and pipe for fuel delivery
  • Operating wheel loader/forklift/overhead cranes

What you will do occasionally:

  • Troubleshoot tanks at our Edmonton location
  • Assisting with inventory counts and replenishment.
  • Some overtime and after-hours work may
  • Maintaining a clean driving record and producing a driver’s abstract upon request

What you need to succeed:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse/technician capacity
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Highly Valued Additional Experience/Skills/Education:

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry would be an asset
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
