Team & Job Overview

The successful candidate will be a member of the Enterprise Digital Platforms Team accountable for building, enhancing, and maintaining EDC’s Integration, DevSecOps and Automation platforms.

The candidate will perform a range of tasks in the analysis, administration and support of tools that comprise EDC’s Enterprise Digital Platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and implement components and features of Enterprise Digital Platform toolset
  • Provide recommendations on product features, design, security and vendor/industry best practices
  • Guide the deployment, migration, operation and performance of the toolset
  • Install, customize, test, and maintain applications
  • Apply patches, certificates, and upgrades to ensure applications are fully functional
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated problem reports
  • Apply experiences and “lessons learned” from previous projects with other clients on migrations/transitions and ongoing operational processes and procedures
  • Consult with product development team and business analyst to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system
  • Maintain effective communication with the platform developers, testers and business analysts on toolset limitations, capability, and potential performance impacts
Screening Criteria
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management information systems or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT systems development, administration, or related experience
  • Experience managing and administrating a suite of cloud and on-prem applications
  • Experience performing different types of upgrades
  • Experience in coordinating and leading release activities
  • Experience managing technological debt
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of Agile and DevSecOps principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
  • Advanced knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience in structured multi-environment technology promotional model
  • Experience with working with technology vendor partners and service providers
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Assets
  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and remediation
  • Experience with agile-related tools like Azure DevOps Boards, Aha!, Actionable Agile and Team Retro
  • Experience with code analysis appliances like WhiteSource, SonarQube and VeraCode
  • Experience with Azure pipelines and Terraform
  • Experience with SOA or other service virtualization tools
  • Experience in using source code management system (Git)
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Experience with automated deployments
  • Experience with programming with C#
  • Experience analyzing performance test results
  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
Salary
  • $64,100 - $96,100 + performance-based incentive
Location
  • Please be advised that this position is based at our Head Office in Ottawa with a hybrid work arrangement or could be performed remotely at any city, with a regional EDC office, within Canada. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
