The Strategic HR Partnership Team has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic HR Business Partner. This is a d ual role,responsible for providing operational support to the Strategic HR Business Partners (SHRBPs), as well as providing hands-on support, consultation, coaching to an assigned client group in the Enabling Functions. You will gain a tremendous depth of expertise in all aspects of human resource and an opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative HR team.

Responsibilities:

HR Partnership

  • Act as a strategic partner to the assigned leadership team in planning for the people components of the business strategy such as organizational capacity, capability, people experience, and risk that will drive high performance of the business area

  • Diagnose organization issues, identify interventions and work with leaders to facilitate improvement and change

  • Develop and execute special HR projects to close gaps identified in the business area’s organization capacity, capability, and people experience. Work closely with COEs to ensure function programs are consistent with the People Plan, People Principles and are executed efficiently and effectively, tapping into resources and capability within the HR Department

  • Provide change management consulting to support the successful execution of changes

  • Gather feedback from clients regularly to ensure planning, projects, services and support being provided aligns to business area needs

  • Provide advice on organization design, organizational and team effectiveness, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, attrition and retention

  • Support the execution of annual HR Programs such as leadership development, succession planning, employee development, performance management, mentoring, and compensation

  • Collaborate with the People Service and other HR COEs to ensure consistent and quality delivery of services to clients

Operational Support

  • Partner with the SHRBPs on confidential projects that require administrative support and coordination, including, developing PowerPoint presentations, and briefing notes for key stakeholders, working with the People Services team to create employee letters, creating speaking notes for leaders, and arranging for leader or employee meetings, etc.

  • Review and improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity

  • Create and distribute communication materials (including email communication) for the SHRBPs

  • Participate in the SHRBP strategic planning process, and provide support on projects/initiatives as required

  • Conducts research and applies HR knowledge to assigned project deliverables, liaisons with COEs and stakeholders when required

  • Contributes to the development of project documentation and plans

  • Assist the SHRBPS with new hires including documentation and onboarding and training requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Degree in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field

  • 3-5 years working in human resources or consulting/advisory services

  • Proven experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives

  • Experience in budget management

  • Strong MS skills, with an expertise in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Ability to translate complex business plans/strategy into end user content

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication

  • Team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

  • Strong attention to detail, with solid time management skills
