Our Sr DevOps Engineer is responsible for building and supporting CI/CD platforms, environment build-out and support, software build and releases, automation solutions, installing and configuring application software, and upkeep of systems through patching and upgrades and works alongside the Agile Development Team.As our Sr DevOps Engineer, you will -

• Act as a key liaison between Agile teams and infrastructure operations teams
• Lead the technical delivery of the DevOps infrastructure and operations in collaboration with the Agile Teams responsible for application development.
• Build, integrate and maintain tools, applications and infrastructure that support development and testing.
• Manage, maintain and improve the CI / CD process, environments and tools.
• Support Agile teams in the implementation of infrastructure solutions and documentation in order to meet required quality and standards.
• Increase automation footprint by constantly reviewing existing practices and processes and automating them where practical.
• Lead Service Delivery, automation, build & release engineering activities, support production deployment capabilities
• Troubleshoot issues in development and production systems
• Coach personnel on DevOps tools and patterns, share knowledge and expertise and help uplift the capabilities and skills across Agile teams
• Keep up with industry best practices and trends on behalf of the DevOps department and the larger engineering department.
• Build, coach, and grow the team, and strive to continually improve the efficiency of how things are done. Assist less experienced DevOps individuals in the navigation of new technologies
• Define and implement technical improvements to support the software delivery lifecycle (DLC)
• Define and implement the processes, architecture and technical design required for the entire DevOps infrastructure.
• Ensure Performance, Scalability and Reliability (PSR) application design tenets and partner with Test Automation teams to develop PSR test scripts
• Define and implement virtual and physical infrastructure (including updates and changes where required)
• Define and implement required updates to DevOps tools/software
• Define and implement monitoring and alerting solutions that identify both system bottlenecks and production issues.
• Define and implement Disaster Recovery strategies and associated architectures
• Define and implement “Privacy-by-Design” and “Security-by-design” of applications and data
• Data processing functions are documented end-to-end per data flow.
• Define and implement Performance monitoring and scaling/management solutions
• Define and implement SLAs / Availability measures
• Define and implement automated configuration management
• Define and implement data storage schemas in order to maximize performance, reliability, and scalability.

• 8+ years’ experience in DevOps, systems engineering, software development engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in management leadership role for DevOps/Study Release Engineer (SRE).
• AWS or Azure certification(s) preferred.
• Proven track record of leading teams focused on DevOps, large scale CI/CD automation, building tools, enabling software development and quality.
• Experience in building distributed, server-based infrastructure supporting a high volume of transactions in a mission critical environment, with a combination of in-house, cloud-based, and SaaS based business applications.
• Experience of defining and implementing DevOps and Study Release Engineer (SRE) solutions.
• Experience in automation design, development and implementation.
• In-depth understanding of containerization technologies.
• In-depth understanding of CI / CD processes and tools.
• Experience of Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of security DevOps processes, cybersecurity practices and their implementation.
• Extensive experience in systems administration, system hardening, patch management strategies.
• Experience in scripting languages (Java, Perl, PHP, Python, or similar), etc.
• Experience implementing solutions with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and other data stores.
• Advanced knowledge of various AWS services (such as VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Route53, S3, AWS Batch, Opsworks, Cloud Formation & IAM)
• Experience in implementing / instrumenting monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudHealth, AWS tools, etc.)
• Experience managing and working with 3rd party vendors.
• East Coast time zone strongly preferred
