The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing social media content for all locations and platforms, while collaborating with the marketing coordinator (a cool guy and even better skier and definitely NOT the author of this job description). You’ll have the pleasure of monitoring our social media presence, engaging with followers, and managing performance reports for all locations and platforms.

Ok, let’s talk about responsibility! If you think you’re the right person for the job, then here’s a few things you’re going to be expected to pull off:

  • Assist in the development of a social media posting schedule and plan
  • Creatively capture high-quality images/video of products, company culture, & events
  • Review Meta Business Suite insights monthly (and report to your friendly neighborhood marketing coordinator)
  • Consistently engage with fans & followers to develop brand loyalty
  • Publish engaging content that communicates our promotional activity and community involvement
  • Keep up with the latest and emerging trends in social media & performance marketing (doesn’t mean you’re getting paid to scroll TikTok for hours, stop asking)
  • Implement social media SEO tactics aligned to keyword and SEO strategies
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments (this is an easy one. we’re a good gang of jokers and cool cats over here)
  • Maintain proper audit track records, follow company policies, procedures & health/safety guidelines
  • Consider the environmental impact in all decisions (we like earth)
  • Other duties and projects as assigned (a vague way of stating you may or may not need to wear the bear costume)

perks

  • Work for one of the largest (and OG) breweries in the province in a state of the art 20,000 sq./ft. facility (with sweet mountain views)
  • After work pints
  • Flexible schedule with option to occasionally work from home
  • Work with an awesome team (I know, I know... every company says this - but believe us!)
  • Merch allowance
  • Multiple staff parties / events throughout the year (like the Grizzly Paw Olympics)
  • Did I mention after work pints?

must-haves

  • Hands-on experience managing social media channels and running paid ads
  • Deep understanding and passion for all relevant social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging technologies
  • Sharp and clever writing skills (so hopefully, you can write the next job description)
  • Photography skills
  • Data interpretation skills
  • Nunchuck skills
  • Abobe Creative Suite skills
  • Creative “eye” & keen attention to detail
  • Punctuality
  • Adaptability
  • Passion for good marketing and good beer

very-cool-to-haves

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • A creative portfolio! (that would be real neat)
  • Personal photography equipment
  • Outdoorsy lifestyle
  • Ability to kick-flip on demand

This position is part-time (25-30 hours per week) and based out of head office at the brewery in Canmore.

The Grizzly Paw is a craft brewery and hospitality company located in Canmore, AB at the heart of the Canadian Rockies since 1996. We are fiercely committed to our guests, colleagues, community, and environment by crafting fresh food, a dynamic beer selection, locally made soda, and engaging experiences.
