Modular Fabrication Inc. is one of the largest steel fabrication facilities in New Brunswick, Canada. We specialize in steel bridge girders, tanks, material handling equipment and heavy structural construction.

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of ‘Welder’. The project involves the installation of bolted tanks and structural steel for a mining project in Northeast Ontario, Canada.

This job will require staying at a construction camp while on site (21 days on site and 7 days off). Fly in fly out. Work hours will be 70 to 77 hours per week. Overtime is after 40 hours per week.

Positions: Welder

Wage Rates: $26.50 to 38.25/ hour (Depending on Experience)

Some responsibilities include:

• Weld according to instructions and blueprints
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Work in a safe manner
• Able to weld SMAW and FCAW
• Weld to meet quality standards
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Must be able to operate aerial platform
• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 30 meters
• Welding outdoors in various weather conditions

Experience / Education:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience welding outdoors on industrial sites is an asset.
• Must have a good safety training background at Mining or other industrial sites
• Completion of college program in Welding
• Fall arrest and aerial platform training is an asset.

All Travel expenses to and from mine site are paid by Modular.

This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements:

• As per Federal guidelines, as of December 1st, 2021, anyone who is to board a charter flight must be able to provide proof of full vaccination.
• Please ensure you bring proof with you to the flight center and allow for at least 2 hours prior to flight departure.
• Additionally, anyone accessing the site will also require full vaccination.

Salary: $26.50-$38.25 per hour
