Canoco Energy Ltdis an established leader in fabrication, and construction of processing facilities for the energy industry. We Are currently seeking Journeyman & Apprentice Pipefittersto join our Fabrication Shops in Spruce Grove, AB & Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems
• Reads and interprets Isometrics, cutsheets, structural shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements
• Selects type and size of pipe required
• Measures, cuts, and threads pipe to required dimensions using hand and power tools
• Tack, welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
• Installs supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Tests system for leaks using testing equipment
• Cleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systems
• Removes and replaces worn components and reactivates systems
• Coaches, mentors, assists, and evaluates apprentices through the employee performance management process to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program
• Material Receiving & quality control orientated.
• Ability to preform negligible tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
• 1-2 years of directly related work experience.
• This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.
• Must have a valid drivers license.

Job Details :

• Hours: Monday-Thursday 10 hour shift 7AM-5:30PM
• Some Fridays required
• Spruce Grove & Fort Saskatchewan Locations
• Full time permanent position
• Rate $22 - 42/ hour based on experience (subject to 3 months probation)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Spruce Grove, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location
