Bureau Veritas is looking for a

SHIPPER/RECEIVER

This is a Contract position to November 26, 2021

Responsibilities

As a Shipper/Receiver, your responsibilities are

Provide clients with sample bottles and preservatives in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure that all shipments are made in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Receive bottle requests from clients and Client Services staff and label, pack and arrange for shipment of sample bottles and containers to meet required delivery times.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and containers. Order new supplies to maintain the inventory at the required level.
• Perform research into shipping methods to find the most cost effective and timely route.
• Ensure that all samples and hazardous materials are shipped in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods legislation.
• General housekeeping of work area
• Clean used coolers for reuse
• Proof supplier bottles as received
• Keep records of all incoming and outgoing shipments of sample bottles and containers.
• Meet quality and turnaround time specifications required by the client and ensure orders are sent on time.
• Provide supervisor with updates on workstation status including advance notification of any delays .
• Other duties as assigned.
  

You are an ideal Shipper/Receiver if you have [Minimum Requirements]:

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of WHMIS and TDG
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and transport coolers/boxes/parcels – up to 50 lbs
• Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks with few mistakes.
• A background in shipping / receiving would be an asset
